Psorcon skin cream is a medicine used for the treatment for several skin problems. It carries the active ingredient of Diflorasone , which is used to treat a variety of skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, allergies, and rash. Psorcon skin cream reduces the swelling, itching and redness that can occur in these types of conditions. This medication is a strong and high-potency corticosteroid. Psorcon is a a href="" title="prescribed drugs">prescribed drugs used for the treatment of Cutaneous T-Cell Lymphoma, Scaly Oily Skin Problem Primarily on Face and Scalp, Atopic Dermatitis, Contact Dermatitis, Inflammation of Skin caused by an Allergy, Disease that Causes Disc-Shaped Patches On the Upper Body. How to use Psorcon Cream

Use this medication only on the skin. However, do not use it on the face, groin or underarms unless directed to do so by your doctor. Wash and dry your hands before applying. Clean and dry the affected area. Apply a thin film of the medication to the affected area and gently rub in, usually 1-3 times daily or as directed by your doctor. Do not bandage, wrap or cover the area unless directed to do so by your doctor. If used in the diaper area on an infant, do not use tight-fitting diapers or plastic pants.

After applying the medication, wash your hands, unless you are using this medication to treat the hands. When applying this medication near the eyes, avoid getting it in the eyes because this may worsen or cause glaucoma. Also, avoid getting the medication in your nose or mouth. If you get the medication in your eyes, nose, or mouth, rinse with plenty of water. Use this medication only for the condition prescribed. Inform your doctor if your condition persists or worsens.

Cautions before Use Psorcon Cream

Cautions, which are needed to be followed, are as follows:

  • People with medical history of diabetes
  • People with a medical history of poor blood circulation
  • People with medical history of immune system problems
  • People with medical history of skin infections such as rosacea and perioral dermatitis
  • Pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers should avoid this medication.
  • Though it is unlikely, this medication may slow down a child’s growth if used for a long time. See the doctor regularly so your child’s height can be checked.
  • Before using Psorcon, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or to any other steroids like hydrocortisone or dexamethasone or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems.

The side effects, which may occur due to the usage of Psorcon, are as follows:

  • Skin irritation at affected area, such as burning, itching and redness
  • Allergic inflammation of the skin
  • Rashes
  • Severe dizziness
  • Trouble in breathing
  • Swelling in face, throat and mouth
  • Vision Problems
  • Weight loss
  • Extreme tiredness
  • Headache
  • Increased thirst or urination
  • Acne
  • Skin thinning and discoloration
  • Excessive hair Growth

Psorcon Cream Reactions and Overdose

Before using this medication, ask your doctor or pharmacist about all prescribed and nonprescribed or herbal products you are using as it may cause reactions with them.

Psorcon may interact especially with those drugs that weaken the immune system such as cyclosporine, corticosteroids such as prednisone.

Psorcon skin cream may be harmful if swallowed. If overdose or swallowing is suspected the patient should be taken to the medical center immediately.
