Trivora-28 is a combination of female hormones that prevent ovulation. Trivora-28 can cause changes in our cervical mucus and uterine lining Thereby making it t harder for the sperm to reach the uterus and even more harder for a fertilized egg to attach to the uterus.

Trivora-28 is used as contraception to prevent pregnancy.

How To use Trivora 28 Pills

Trivora-28 may be used as follows:

  • You should take Trivora-28 exactly as it was prescribed for you.
  • Never take amounts, or take it for longer than recommended by your doctor.
  • Always take the first pill on the first day of your period or after your period begins.
  • It may be that you may require back-up birth control, such as condoms or spermicides, when you first start using Trivora-28.
  • Most of the 28-day birth control packs contain seven “reminder” pills to keep you on your regular cycle. Your period may begin while you are using these reminder pills.
  • It is possible that breakthrough bleeding may occur, especially during the first 3 months. Always let your doctor if this bleeding continues or is very heavy.
  • You should remember to take one pill every day, no more than 24 hours apart.
  • If your pills are running out, start a new pack the next day.
  • It is possible that you may get pregnant if you do not use Trivora-28 regularly.
  • If you require any type of medical tests or surgery, or if you will be on bed rest it is best that you stop using Trivora-28 for a short time.
  • It is a must that any doctor or surgeon who treats you should know that you are using birth control pills.

  • A hormone-related cancer such as breast or uterine cancer

When certain medications are taken together with Trivora-28 drug interactions could occur that may affect the efficacy of the medicines. It can even increase your risk for side effects. Trivora-28 can interact with other medicines such as acetaminophen vitamin C, prednisolone and theophylline (resulting in side effects or altered effectiveness of Trivora-28.
