The brain is such part of the body which controls the complete nervous system and the whole body. It controls, memory, speech and movement and emotions. There can be number of reasons why someone has brain disease. In fact, anything that disturbs the normal pattern of brain activity in the brain from illness to abnormal situations to accidents can cause several kinds of brain disorders.

In case of Dementia the patients are more likely to develop behaviors which are uncontrollable by themselves.

Also, certain risk factors are more likely to increase the risk for certain brain diseases but following some basic lifestyle changes can help to prevent some brain diseases:

  • Lowering your alcohol intake
  • Living a stress free life
  • Controlling high blood pressure
  • Following a healthy diet
  • Going for pre-Treatment in case of a genetic disorder

Treatments

  • Surgery is the usual treatment for most brain diseases like brain tumors and cancers. Surgery to open the skull is called a craniotomy. It is performed under general anesthesia.
  • Radiation therapy (also called radiotherapy) uses high-energy rays to kill tumor cells. The radiation may come from x-rays, gamma rays, or protons.
  • Rehabilitation Treatment: Patients who are suffering from dementia or psychological ailments are prescribed to go under psycho treatment as they are been sent to some rehab centers where they are being healed by games, pictures, mental exercises and acupunctures.
  • Medications: The most important phase of any brain disease is proper medication. Some of the common medications of brain diseases are Cognex, Zofran, Topamax, Lyrica and others
