Trilisate

Generic Name:Choline and Magnesium Trisalicylates

Trilisate is used to reduce pain and inflammation which is caused by conditions such as arthritis. It is also used to treat fever in adults.

Trilisate works by reducing inflammation in the joints.

Trilisate is available in the form of a liquid or tablet in packs of 1000 mg; 500 mg; 500 mg/5 mL or 750 mg

How to use Trilisate Tablets

Trilisate may be used as follows:

  • Trilisate is taken with or without food. If stomach upset occurs, take with food or a large glass of milk in order to reduce stomach irritation.
  • Always take Trilisate with a full glass of water.
  • Never lie down for 30 minutes after taking Trilisate.

Cautions before Use Trilisate Tablets

The following precautions must be taken care of when using Trilisate:

  • While using Trilisate do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to it.
  • Before taking Trilisate it is always best to tell your doctor if you drink more than 3 drinks with alcohol per day.
  • Trilisate can cause stomach bleeding. The risk may be greater if you drink alcohol while you are using Trilisate.
  • Always let your doctor or dentist know that you take Trilisate before receiving any medical or dental care, emergency care, or surgery.
  • Trilisate should be used with extreme caution in CHILDREN safety and effectiveness in children has not been confirmed.
  • Take Trilisate with caution if you are allergic to any ingredient in Trilisate.
  • Take Trilisate with caution if you have any sort of blood-clotting disease.
  • Use Trilisate with caution if the patient is a child or teenager with flu symptoms or chickenpox
  • Take Trilisate with caution if you have stomach problems, ulcers and or fever.

Trilisate Tablets Side Effects

Call your doctor right away if you notice any of these side effects:

  • Constipation
  • Diarrhea
  • Dizziness
  • Drowsiness
  • Headache
  • Heartburn
  • Indigestion
  • Nausea

Severe allergic reactions

  • Rash hives
  • Itching
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Tightness in the chest
  • There is a swelling of the mouth face, lips, or tongue
  • Black or tarry stools
  • Blood in the stool
  • Confusion flushing
  • Hallucinations
  • Hearing loss
  • Ringing in the ears
  • Severe stomach pain
  • Unusual bruising
  • Bleeding, or black stools
  • Vomit that looks like coffee grounds
  • Yellowing of skin or eyes

Trilisate Tablets Interaction

It is your doctor or pharmacist who may already be aware of any possible drug interactions and may be monitoring you for them. Do not starts, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with your doctor or pharmacist first.

If you are using antacids for a long-term, it may change the working of this product.

Trilisate Tablets Overdose symptoms

Symptoms may include: bloody stools

  • Disorientation
  • Drowsiness
  • Body discomfort
  • Loss of consciousness
  • Nausea
  • Ringing in the ears
  • Seizures
  • Upset stomach
  • Vomiting
  • Wheezing
