These glands produce sebum, which is an oily substance, formed under the skin and Accutane skin care pill works by reducing the size of the sebaceous glands and decreasing sebum production. How to Use It?

  • In certain cases, the recommended dose of Accutane skin care pill is 0.5 mg to 1 mg per kg of body weight (about 0.23 mg to 0.45 mg per pound) each day, divided into two daily doses.
  • For adults with severe acne or acne formed mostly to the trunk of the body, a dose of 2 mg per kg or about 0.91 mg per pound each day, divided into two daily doses, may be necessary.
  • Accutance can be used after considering some factors like the harshness of your acne, your weight and the way you respond to the drug.
  • Normally, Accutane skin care pill is taken for 15 to 20 weeks. Your acne will go on improving after you stop taking this medication. A second course may be recommended if your acne does not go even after eight weeks following the first course.
