Azelex skin cream is primarily used for the treatment of acne vulgaris. It has the active ingredient of Azelaic Acid in it, which is an acute treatment of acne and rosacea. It is thought to work by reducing inflammation and slowing down the rapid growth of skin cells. In most cases, this prescription skin cream is applied to the affected areas twice daily. Azelaic acid, the active ingredient in Azelex skin cream, may have some antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, and may help to normalize hyperkeratinization, which is a problem with skin cells that leads to pimples and other bumps. It works by reducing the amount of acne-causing bacteria on the skin and by helping to keep your pores open and unblocked, thus decreasing the number of acne pimples. How to use

Cautions before using

  • The active ingredient in Azelex skin cream (Azelaic acid) is known to cause patchy lightening of the skin in rare cases. This medicine has not been thoroughly studied in people with dark complexions.
