Dermatop Cream

Dermatop skin Cream is a topical skin cream with an active ingredient of Prednicarbate, which belongs to the class of medications called topical corticosteroids. It is used to reduce the symptoms of associated with inflammatory skin conditions such as psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. Dermatop skin Cream is a medium strength corticosteroid and it works by reducing inflammation, itching, and irritation of the skin.

How to Use

Apply a thin layer to the affected skin areas twice daily. Gently rub the medication into the skin. If you do not notice any improvement within a few days to a week, consult your doctor.

Dermatop skin Cream should not be used for longer than 2 weeks without the skin being reexamined by your doctor. Do not use a dressing that does not breathe to cover areas where this medication has been applied. Do not apply Dermatop skin Cream to your face, underarms, or groin area, unless your doctor tells you to do so.

Many things can affect the dose of a medication that a person needs, such as body weight, other medical conditions, and other medications. If your doctor has recommended a dose different from the ones listed here, do not change the way that you are using the medication without consulting your doctor.

Cautions before use

There are some cautions, which are to be maintained and not to be used in these following cases:

  • Persons who are allergic to Dermatop skincream or to any of the ingredients of the medication
  • Persons who are allergic to wool or lanolin
  • Persons who have untreated bacterial, fungal,or viral skin infections
  • People who are suffering from diabetes shouldnot use Dermatop skin cream as it absorbs in the blood and may increaseglucose or sugar levels.
  • Pregnant women and breast feeding mothers should stay away from Dematop skin drug

Dermatop Cream Side effects

The following side effects have been reported by less number of people taking this medication. Many of these side effects can be managed, and some may go away on their own over time.

  • burning sensation
  • dry skin
  • itch
  • redness to the affected area
  • shiny skin
  • thinning of skin
  • acne
  • pain and scaling,
  • cracking of skin
  • symptoms of a serious allergic reaction
  • swelling of face or throat
  • difficulty in breathing

Reactions and Overdose

Dermatop skin care cream can react with any kind of prescribed or non-prescribed vitamins, diet supplements, herbal products or any oral or inject able medicines so it is better to talk to the doctor about this skin care product before taking into use.

Over dose affects can lead into acne, weight gain, swelling of face, increased facial hair etc.
