Embeline E

Embeline E skin care cream is a prescribed medicine used for those people who are suffering from severe skin ailments. This medication is used to treat a variety of skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis, allergies, and rash. Having Clobetasol as the active ingredient, which reduces the swelling, itching, and redness, that can occur in these types of conditions. It also can heal the rough, scaly patches on the skin seen with psoriasis. This medication is a very strong (super-high-potency) corticosteroid. This medication also contains emollients. Emollients soften and moisturize the skin, leading to decreased itching and flaking. Emollients also help to protect the skin against irritation.

Use this medication only for the condition prescribed. Do not use it for longer than 2 weeks in a row or use more than 50 grams per week unless directed to do so by your doctor.

Inform your doctor if your condition persists or worsens after 2 weeks.

How to Use

Use this medication on the skin only. Do not use it on the face, groin, or underarms unless directed to do so by your doctor.

Wash and dry your hands before using. Clean and dry the affected area. Apply a thin film of medication to the affected area and gently rub in, usually 2 times daily or as directed by your doctor. Do not bandage, cover, or wrap the area unless directed to do so by your doctor.

If used in the diaper area on a child, do not use tight-fitting diapers or plastic pants.

After applying the medication, wash your hands unless you are using this medication to treat the hands. When applying this medication near the eyes, avoid getting it in the eyes because this may worsen or cause glaucoma. Also, avoid getting this medication in the nose or mouth. If you get the medication in these areas, rinse with plenty of water.

Cautions before Using

There are some precautions, which are essential to be followed before using, and they are as below:

Before using Embeline E, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or to other corticosteroids such as hydrocortisone, prednisone or if you have any other allergies
Do not use Embeline E if there is an infection or sore present in the area to be treated.

Before using Embeline E, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of poor blood circulation, immune system problems

Before having surgery or emergency treatment, or if you get a serious illness/injury, tell your doctor or dentist that you are using Embeline E or have used this medication within the past few months because it can produce some reactions in the blood.

Embeline Side Effects

There are some side effects, which may occur due to use of Embeline E, and they are as follows:

  • Burning, stinging, itching, dryness, or redness at the affected area may occur when first applied to the skin.
  • Stretch marks
  • Skin thinning or discoloration
  • Acne
  • Extreme or unwanted hair growth
  • Unusual or extreme tiredness
  • Weight loss
  • Headache
  • Swelling ankles or feet
  • Increased thirst and urination
  • Vision problems

Reactions and Overdose

Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription/herbal products you may use, especially of: corticosteroids taken by mouth like prednisone, drugs that lower the immune system such as cyclosporine.

Embeline E could be harmful if swallowed and the patient must seek medical attention if overdosed
