Lamisil is a skin care treatment used for treating skin ailments. Lamisil is such a skin care medicine, which is found, is the form of oral capsules and in topical creams also. It carries the composition of Terbinafine, which is an anti fungal agent that is taken by mouth or applied to the skin. Lamisil acts by interfering with the ability of fungi to make chemicals called sterols, which is an important part of the membrane that surrounds fungal cells and holds them together. This weakens the cell membrane. Topical Terbinafine was approved by the FDA in 1993. Terbinafine oral tablets were approved in 1996.
