Maxivate skin cream is used to treat the itching, redness, dryness, crusting, scaling, inflammation, and discomfort of various skin conditions.

This medication is sometimes prescribed for other uses; ask your doctor or pharmacist for more information. Maxivate skin cream comes in ointment, cream, lotion, and aerosol spray in various strengths for use on the skin. The lactic acid in Maxivate skin Cream lowers the acidity level of the skin so that skin renewal can take place. In addition, the combination of actives in Maxivate displays a natural moisturizing ability that softens the skin. Melanin formation - responsible for pigment formation and darkening of the skin - is also slowed down. The latter results in skin whitening and a reduction of age spots on sun damaged skin. A sun block in Maxivate skin cream protects the skin from the harmful effects of the sun.

How to use Maxivate Cream

It is usually applied one to four times a day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Use Maxivate skin cream exactly as directed. Do not use more or less of it or use it more often than prescribed by your doctor. Do not apply it to other areas of your body, wrap, or bandage the treated area unless directed to do so by your doctor.

Wash or soak the affected area thoroughly before applying the medicine, unless it irritates your skin. Then apply the ointment or cream sparingly in a thin film and rub it in gently.

To use the lotion on your scalp, part your hair, apply a small amount of the medicine on the affected area, and rub it in gently. Protect the area from washing and rubbing until the lotion dries. You may wash your hair as usual but not right after applying the medicine.
