Prascion is a prescribed medication which is used to treat acne vulgaris. Prascion is used to treat the inflammation and skin eruptions that are associated with acne and rosacea. Prascion can also be used to treat the dry, scaly skin known as seborrheic dermatitis. This product contains antibacterial and drying agents that promote shedding of the skin's top layer (keratolysis).

Prascion has the combination of two medications of Sulfacetamide sodium and Sulfur. This product contains an antibacterial agent and a drying agent which promotes shedding of the top layer of skin. Prascion is available in the form of different products which is used as several topical acne agents and is available in Prascion Cleanser, Prascion FC Cloths and Prascion RA.

How to Use Prascion Cream

  • Apply a thin film of Prascion gel to the affected areas 1 to 3 times daily, or as directed by your doctor.
  • This medication is for use only on the skin.
  • Prascion comes in the form of cream and lotion which is applied to the skin that helps tone down redness so it should be applied accordingly.
  • Apply a thin layer of medication to the affected area 1 to 3 times daily, or use as directed by your doctor.
  • Avoid getting any of this medication in the eyes or inside the nose or mouth. If it does get in your eyes, wash them immediately with plenty of water.
  • With the use of Prascion FC Cloth you can wipe your face to reduce redness affect appeared from acne.

Cautions before Use Prascion Cream

  • You should not use Prascion if you are allergic to sulfa drugs.
  • People who are suffering from kidney diseases should not use any Prascion product.
  • If your skin becomes excessively red or irritated then you should not use Prascion.
  • If you have eczema or a history of lupus then you should not use Prascion.

Prascion Cream Side Effects

The side effects which may arise due to the usage of Prascion are as follows:

  • Redness and irritation of the skin
  • Cracked Skin
  • Rash
  • Weakness
  • Dark urine
  • Yellowing eyes or skin
  • persistent sore throat
  • Fever
  • Easy bruising or bleeding
  • Trouble in breathing

Prascion Cream Interactions and Overdose

No drug interactions have been reported with Prascion. But if you are taking Prascion with certain other drugs, then the effects of either could be increased, decreased, or altered. So it is especially important to check with your doctor before combining Prascion with other drugs.

Prascion has not been reported to have any kind of overdose but in case of any overdose happens the patient should be taken under prompt medical support.
