Prenatal vitamins are a mixture of a number of different vitamins that are normally found in foods and other natural sources.

Trinate provides the additional vitamins needed during pregnancy. Trinate may also contain minerals.

Trinate may also be used for other purposes not listed in this medication guide.

How to use Trinate Tablets

Trinate may be used as follows:

Use Trinate exactly as directed on the label or as your doctor has prescribed. Do not use Trinate in larger amounts or for longer than recommended.

Never take more than the recommended dose of Trinate.

Read the label of Trinate before you start taking it so that you are absolutely sure that you are aware of what it contains.

Take Trinate with a full glass of water.

You must swallow the tablet or capsule whole. Do not break chew crush or Trinate.

Always chew the chewable tablet or allowed it to dissolve in your mouth before swallowing.

You may also allow Trinate tablet to dissolve in drinking water fruit juice or infant formula (but not milk or other dairy products). Drink this mixture straight away.

It is important to take Trinate regularly to get the most benefit.

Store Trinate in their original container. Storing Trinate in a glass container can ruin the medication.

Cautions before Use Trinate Tablets

  • Do not take Trinate if you have any of the following symptoms:
  • Never take any other multivitamin product within 2 hours before or after you take your prenatal vitamins. If you take any other similar vitamin together with Trinate at the same time, it can result in a vitamin overdose or serious side effects.
  • Do not take any salt substitutes in your diet if your multivitamin contains potassium. If on a low-salt diet, ask your doctor before taking a vitamin or mineral supplement.
  • Do not take Trinate with milk, other dairy products, calcium supplements, or antacids that contain calcium. This because Calcium may make it harder for your body to absorb certain ingredients of the prenatal

Trinate Tablets Side Effects

If you are taking Trinate as directed, it will not cause any serious side effects.

Less serious side effects

  • Upset stomach
  • Headache
  • You may have an unusual or unpleasant taste in your mouth

Trinate Tablets Interaction

When certain medications are taken together with Trinate drug interactions could occur that may affect the efficacy of the medicines. It can even increase your risk for side effects. Trinate can interact with other medicines such as diuretics, heart or blood pressure medications and tretinoin resulting in side effects or altered effectiveness of Trinate.

Trinate Tablets Overdose Symptoms

Overdose symptoms may include

  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Stomach pain
  • Loss of appetite
  • Constipation
  • Severe headache
  • Weight loss
  • Muscle or joint pain
  • Severe back pain
