How To use Truxophyllin Tablets

Truxophyllin may be used as follows:

  • Always use this medicine exactly as directed on the label, or as prescribed by your doctor.
  • Always take this medicine exactly as it was prescribed for you.
  • Never take the medicine in larger amounts, or take it for longer than recommended by your doctor.
  • It may be that your doctor may occasionally change your dose to make sure that you are getting the best results from this medication.
  • You can take this medicine with a full glass of water.
  • You can even take y\this medicine with or without food, but take it the same way every time.
  • Always Swallow the pill whole.
  • Always measure the liquid form of this medicine with a special dose-measuring spoon or cup, not a regular table spoon. If you do not have a dose-measuring device, ask your pharmacist to give you one.
  • If there are any changes in the brand, strength, or type of theophylline you use, your dosage needs may change.
  • It is wise to check your medicine when it is refilled in order to make sure you have received the correct brand.

Cautions before Use Truxophyllin Tablets

The following precautions must be taken care of when using Truxophyllin:

While using Truxophyllin it may cause the following side effects:

Truxophyllin Tablets Interaction

When certain medications are taken together with Truxophyllin , drug interactions can occur that may affect the effectiveness of the medicines or increase your risk for side effects. Medications that may cause negative interactions carbamazepine (Carbatrol, Tegretol), cimetidine (Tagamet) and enoxacin (Penetrex) resulting in serioussideeffects. Do not start using a new medication without telling your doctor amongst others.

Truxophyllin Tablets Overdose Symptoms

Overdose symptoms include nausea, vomiting, insomnia, tremors, restlessness, uneven heartbeats, and seizure (convulsions). Seizures caused by a theophylline overdose can lead to death or permanent brain damage.
