Generic Name:Estradiol

Thaissept is an estrogen medication that can be prescribed to treat menopause symptoms. It is also approved to treat hormone deficiency in younger women whose ovaries do not produce enough estrogen and to prevent osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. Thaissept comes as a skin transdermal that is applied to the lower abdomen twice a week. It is the smallest estrogen transdermal currently available. Thaissept also known with the generic name of estradiol transdermal is a prescription hormone replacement medication. It comes as a transdermal that is applied to the skin two times a week. It is the smallest estrogen transdermal currently available. Thaissept is used for treating menopause symptoms, such as vaginal irritation or dryness, night sweats, and hot flashes. It is also approved to prevent osteoporosis in postmenopausal women and to treat hormone deficiency in younger women whose ovaries do not produce enough estrogen. There are currently no other legitimate Thaissept uses, and the medication is not approved for use in children or teens.

How to use Thaissept Capsules

  • Thaissept comes as a skin transdermal patch. It is changed twice a week.
  • Apply the Thaissept transdermal to an area of clean, dry skin in your lower abdomen (below the waistline). Try to avoid placing the transdermal right at the waistline, since your clothes may rub against the transdermal and loosen it.
  • Rotate the application sites, so that you do not apply a transdermal to the same place twice in a row.
  • If a little adhesive remains on your skin after removing a transdermal, a little lotion or body oil can help to remove it.
  • Dispose of an old transdermal by folding it in half and throwing it away out of reach of children or pets. Do not flush it down the toilet.

Cautions before use Thaissept Capsules

  • For women who still have a uterus or who have not had a hysterectomy, taking Thaissept increases the risk of endometrial cancer known as cancer of the lining of the uterus.
  • Medical studies have shown that Thaissept Dot hormone replacement therapy increases the risk of strokes and blood clots in the legs.
  • Thaissept may worsen epilepsy, porphyria, asthma, diabetes, migraine, lupus, and hepatic hemangiomas.
  • Women who take Thaissept have an increased risk for gallbladder disease.

Thaissept Capsules Side Effects

The side effects which may arise due the usage of Thaissept Dot are as follows:

  • Indigestion
  • Weight gain
  • Joint pain
  • Flu-like symptoms
  • Arm or leg pain
  • Constipation
  • Painful menstrual cramps
  • Sinus congestion
  • Neck pain
  • Anxiety
  • Insomnia
  • Hot flashes
  • Nausea
  • General pain
  • High blood pressure

Interactions and Overdose of Thaissept Capsules

If thyroid replacement medications or certain anticonvulsants are used together with Thaissept, drug interactions may occur. These interactions could decrease the effectiveness of the estrogen transdermal or increase your risk for developing side effects. Some of the other medicines that may lead to Thaissept interactions include rifamycin antibiotics, St. John’s wort, barbiturates, and various antibiotics or antifungals.

Thaissept, overdose symptoms may include nausea and vomiting. If these symptoms happen then patient should seek immediate medical attention.
